The Rite of Exorcism is a sacramental of the Catholic Church whereby “the Church asks publicly and authoritatively in the name of Jesus Christ that a person or object be protected against the power of the Evil One and withdrawn from his dominion” (Catechism of the Catholic Church #1673). It is “directed at the expulsion of demons or to the liberation from demonic possession through the spiritual authority which Jesus entrusted to His Church (ibid.).”

May God's Healing Graces be upon you
and all at home

We unite with you in prayers

  2. Preparatory sessions, prayers and assignments before the actual deliverance and exorcism

  3. Followed by evaluation sessions to assess his/her progress

Prayer is the means in this spiritual battle to bring a person afflicted by unclean spirits to liberation, healing and conversion. Evangelisation of the person and his/her family and introducing the person to a faith community where he/she can find spiritual support are all part of the whole process. The major thrust of the ministry of liberation is to help the person come into a personal relationship with God and be faithful to Him.

The Process includes

Psalm 102: A prayer of an afflicted person

When he is faint and pours out his lament before the LORD.

Hear my prayer, O LORD; let my cry for help come to you. Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Incline your ear to me; answer me speedily in the day when I call.

Abba Father, we are thankful for the armour You have provided. We put on the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the sandals of peace, the helmet of salvation. We lift up the shield of faith against all the fiery darts of the enemy, and take in our hands the sword of the spirit, the Word of God, and use Your Word against all the forces of evil. We put on the full armour of God and pray in complete dependence upon You (Ephesians 6:11-17).

Show us any area of weakness as we stand for God and for His Glory. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we completely surrender ourselves to You. We choose not to be conformed to this world. We choose to be transformed by the renewing of our mind, and we pray that You will enable us to walk in Your Light!

We now cover ourselves with the precious blood of Christ and pray that through the power of Your Holy Spirit, You will bring Glory and Honour to Your name through this Ministry of Liberation and bring about ongoing conversion for us and for all whom we meet. You are the God of all hope. You have proven Your power by resurrecting Jesus Christ from the dead, and we claim in every way Your victory over all demonic forces.

May God arise and His enemies be scattered, and let them flee from His face all those who oppose Him. They are defeated by the sign of the venerable Cross all opposing powers. O Lord, through the prayer of all the Saints and the Mother of God, grant us Your peace and have mercy on us, Merciful One. Amen.
